So now in addition to our premium dairy free, gluten-free, no artificial colours or flavours, we now have nitrate free for your enjoyment! A perfect solution for those who are sensitive or have allergies to nitrates and follow a health regime requiring a low salt diet, free of chemical nitrates.

What are Nitrates?

Nitrates occur naturally in many things like spinach and broccoli. However, over time, chemically produced nitrate by laboratories has become the preservative of choice across many categories of food. This has exposed our body to high levels of nitrates – which are unhealthy if consumed over a long period of time. After several years of research to perfect the flavours, taste and texture, the new Princi chemically free nitrate free range is here! Instead of chemical nitrates, we utilise nitrates made from fruit and vegetable extracts in the curing process, ensuring that you can continue to enjoy our delicious smallgood products even if you are wanting to avoid chemical nitrates.

The use of nitrates in the curing process instantly stops any nasties from growing during and after the production process to ensure safe consumption of smallgoods. We have worked diligently and passionately with experts in food technology to create our new line of Chemically Nitrate Free products that are not only delicious, but naturally safe, free range, and have a great shelf life just like our other famous traditional range.
